The Battle of Gettysburg (Mach 5 — Two Player Version) by pketzle

(NOTE:This game should be set so that the only allowable units for purchase are troopers.)

On July 30th, 1863, Brig. Gen. John Buford's Union Cavalry (Blue) spotted the advance of Confederate infantry under the command of General A.P Hill (Red) near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Soon, Lt. Gen. Richard S. Ewell (Yellow) advanced to join Hill, while Union General George Meade's various corps (Purple) marched quickly to engage. Thus began the defining battle of the American Civil War. Mistakes and miscommunication among the Southern command, along with good fortune and brilliant maneuvers by the North, are said to have led to a Union victory, the first major defeat of General Robert E. Lee, making The Battle of Gettysburg the turning point of the war's Eastern Theater.

Can the Union do it again? Or will better commanders and a better battle plan make all the difference?
