Are cruisers supposed to hurt subs at the range of 2 (in the same way as destroyers)?!
I attacked a cruiser with a sub (at the range of 2) and it fought back! Is that a bug or a feature?

+1 to all those comments about cruiser being too weak. How about increasing its movement to 4 and as well as attack against boat a little bit?

I think the cruiser is strong enough as long as no battleships are involved. Cruisers killing destroyers, destroyers killing subs, subs killing cruisers. The rock-paper-scissors principle works fine here and the cruisers speed of 3 fills a hole in the navy movement range. I like that and would suggest to not change the move issue.

BUT

when battleships (especially if it's more than 1) join the fight, the main disadvantage of cruisers becomes apparent - their little too weak attack power against BOATS. I think if 2 cruisers would attack a battleship in the same turn, it should be sunk or almost sunk by the second cruiser's fire.

Probably the situation on testserver was like this:
cruiser 1 fires on battleship, damaging ~3hps, cruiser taking ~7 damage.
cruiser 2 fires on battleship, damaging ~4hps, cruiser taking ~6 damage.
(I`m not 100% sure about these numbers, what results did you guys get on testserver?)

If cruisers did 1-2 more damage to battleships it would not affect their superiority to destroyers very much, but 2 cruisers worth 2000 credits would be able to fight the 2000 creds battleship as long as it is the cuisers' turn. if it was the battleship's turn still they would be annihilated by it's longer firing range and double shoot ability.

Conclusion: A little higher BOAT attack value for cruisers (or lower defense value for battleships) would render them more valuable in late stages of high income games and prevent players to build battleships accompanied by destroyers only as their navy.

According to the combat system if cruiser 1 attacks battleship it should deal about 2.5 damage, cruiser 2 about 3 damage. While the first cruiser should take about 5.5 damage and the second one about 4. I also think the cruiser could need a stronger boat attack. So they would also be more effective against destroyers.

Yes, every team member selects surrender!

You all lose/gain points in a uniform fashion so theoretically I don't think it really matters in what order you surrender.

I don't like the new naval units. Though, I do think you should add a Penguin unit. Here are the stats:
