Here are the entrants sorted by their rank as of today. Do we have a tourney committee? I can do it, but I am not usually on more than 2 times a day.

Round 1 map has already been decided as stirlings aruba as I recall.

suggest 1 day limit on games. at 12 hours past due you can skip turn. On second offense of 12 hours late OR 1 full day you may boot. I personally suggest not doing either, but want to set some guidelines. once we have the tourney committee I'll start the new thread and post the pools and game instructions.

Here are the groups. Let the mocking and bravado begin. Once we have a third for the FWC committee we can commence. I suggest the following format:

first round: round robin - top 2 records in each bracket advance. in cases of a tie by number of wins - a game won in fewer rounds trumps. i.e. if mimic and somar96 and surferninja each have one win, but somar won in 10 rounds, surfer in 12 and mimic in 19, then Somar's win is the best win, and he advances. There are no ties. Ties count as losses.

second round of 16 players: another 4 pools of 4 round robin style. top 2 from each pool advance.

final 8 use a direct elmination format. composite record from both first two rounds is used to seed the final 8 into the direct elimination.

thoughts?

some other administrivia we should use:

winner of the game saves it in his archive for recording purposes.

lower seeded player gets to set the match and be blue if desired, or can defer to higher ranked player.

all game links to be posted to the tournament thread once we start.
