hope this is the best category to post in. where are the bots? do the devs have any? are they named aizappbranigan like in the test? will the people that create ai/bots please post them here or have them listed somewhere else where folks can find them?

here's one - ai_ZappBrannigan

That was fast! And he is already losing

He does play fast though. Sometimes so fast that our interface is not updating quite quickly enough - you might have to reload your games manually every once in a while.

How do we create an account with an ai_ prefix? It seems it won't let me signup with account of that name.

That is a rather silly oversight I am afraid. We'll amend asap.

At the moment, create an account with any name and then rename it under the "You" link on top. That's what bert told me, and it works.

Ah - glad it is working that way at least. So in order to comply with the bot name requirements of Eliza you need the user name to start with "ai_" - but that is not allowed by default. However you can change the name in your settings after the initial registration.

@po - "what are you people talking about?" - well... we're talking about the ability that the devs have now given to have ai/bots as users. i don't have one. i don't understand the programming well enough, nor do i have the time to figure it out, but others besides the devs have. you can invite the user "ai_ZappBrannigan" http://single.weewar.com/user/ai_ZappBrannigan to a game and play against him. does that help?

oh and Devs - zapp still isn't playing in my game - http://single.weewar.com/game/98876

Can someone post a little more detailed step by step explanation of this? I have netbeans downloaded and I think I have everything correct, but when I hit run it says "build failed". I'm not a programmer, so any help would be appreciated.

Yes. Unfortunate that he's not playing, though. I assume he'd attempt to destroy the most neutral part of the map, and then turn tail and hide somewhere.

Zapp is back and speed should be back, too.

If you want to play against a bot simply invite ai_ZappBrannigan to a game. Not very clever - but totally artificial
