2 of my bots lose their targeting and get slaughtered. I only have one function that controls cannon movement and this is the last bit of targeting code in the target selection list:



I need to add something to make sure I'm not switching targets too often and in this situation I probably should prioritize the weaker target, but I've got a few other things to do before I make the targeting any more sophisticated

Anyway, I don't know why this failed in the that battle, ideas?

I noticed that your bots start to rotate their cannons right after they bump into their opponent.
Maybe it's some kind of collision prevention you employ elsewhere in your code?

I am using the bot collision event, but it shouldn't alter the behavior of the cannon. The one that did behave had a collision too. That spinning cannon behavior should only happen when the target is null, so I'm leaning toward a game bug but I'm only about 60% sure it isn't my fault
