04/04/2012 05:47:02 Weewar stats? Where's the working one!!
I know there's a working stats script out there, but for some reason I can't seem to find the right one. Spadequack's from 2009 no longer works, but a friend on here posted a link to a new one in a game, but I don't have that game open anymore! ARGH.
Maybe it was darkbee and maybe he'll come to my rescue

I found it! this one works: http://cybernautix.de/weewar/weewar_stats.user.js not the old one on userscrips.org

I confirm that the link above is working and the first stats-page is displayed in FireFox 11.0 and Crome 18.0.
The expanding (click on STATS) only works with FireFox just now.

Thats got it!

I recently updated from Iceweasel (Firefox) 10 to 17 and the Weewar stats script has stopped working. The only thing I modified of the script is that I commented out that header variable and removed the version/CheckforNewVersion line.
It has always worked, now I get some "NS_ERROR_ILLEGAL_VALUE" message for line 284.
After some trying around I found out that responseDetails.responseText is undefined, as well as many (maybe all) other properties of the responseDetails object
Did anyone experience the same issues?
I replaced the GM_xmlhttpRequest call with a usual XMLHttpRequest, now the error is gone. However, the response seems to be the single line
"<error>Error on line 1: Premature end of file.</error>"
(just as when you open http://weewar.com/client/gamestate/)
Is it possible that the page which supplies the stats is broken?
wunder windows with the newest firefox, everything works fine. still having the "premture end of file" error when calling the gamestate page directly though

you need to send xml to the clientstate page to get a response

Got this one?
17/08/2013 22:51:53 Re:Weewar stats? Where's the working one!!
thanks for your replies. The GM_xmlhttpRequest function from the script does not seem to work properly with my browser. I have replaced it with a usual XMLHttpRequest, and finally it works again.

Me, being very dense on this kind of thing, can you explain what replacing the GM with an XML script entails? I still can't get this thing to work.

Possibility one is that you simply have a bad script installed. The script from http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/47008 seems to cause some troubles. Try that one:
http://cybernautix.de/weewar/weewar_stats.user.js (it is the same but has the update check disabled).
Otherwise, you probably have the same issue I did. Here is how I got rid of the problem: In the script you install for Greasemonkey, you will find the following code:
For some reason I do not understand it didn't work as intended for me, and I replaced it with the following one:
(I do not have my computer here, so hopefully what I post is right. If it is not, I can correct it when I get home (next week))
If this doesn't help you, please post (a link to) your script and I will have a look.

Voila, that worked. Yay! Thanks Fex.

The GM_xmlhttprequest function has the feature to cross this restriction, but the ordinary xmlhttprequest doesn't: In the script you will find the line
It should also be easy to modify the script to dynamically adapt which way you are using, but currently I'm too lazy to do it
