Yes, they can and non-pros get pro units if this is the case. Pros never get any unfair advantage such as extra units that non-pros can't get. If a non-pro invites a pro then both players only get the basic units.

Yes really. A non-pro (trial account) can only invite to one of three maps, which are two player maps only, and using basic units only. Pros never get any kind of unit advantage over non-pros... ever. That would kind of kill the game if they did, wouldn't it? I think perhaps you're thinking of the over way around, in which case non-pro do get to have pro units.

Oh, sorry, I was seeing "non-pro invites pro" but my brain registered "pro invites non-pro".
