I can imagine a strait run for the ones at the end, fight out every one else and send hovers back down in hopes of gaining a cheaper to maintain foot hold on the lower basis and hope you get the mostest the fastest!

Don't be yellow or white as the other ones can keep on sending hovers from their one bottom base to the next row.

After that, anyone's guess.

And yup, hope for a dumb neighbor and/or an aggressive one-over-neighbor that keeps your neighbor busy.

Why not start one (probably unrated) to try it out? I'd be in.

Only play blue (first mover advantage) or (if blue is impossible) red (only one neighbor like blue). The other 4 colors are really unsuitable for FFA games because they move later and have at least two neighbors. If you happen to get one of these colors you have to cooperate with one of your neighbors (if you have a smart neighbor he will see that you want to cooperate by observing your moves, you dont need to write anything to him/her).
