I have mostly ported Davewashere's greasemonkey team chat script to work with chrome.

The first BETA release is available here http://www.daithi.co.uk/userscripts

There are probably some issues that wont come out until people start using it in anger.

The issues I addressed were to do with cross site scripting, lack of support for the greasemonkey @require header and no support for GM_getValue and GM_setValue in chrome.

It seems to work but there might be some messages dropped without an error reported I'm working to resolve this and the lack of support for auto update.

For the paranoid among you, to resolve the cross site scripting problem i am redirected all chrome team chat http messages via www.daithi.co.uk. This will continue until i can see if Dave can modify his server. As a result of this you lot deserve two things a privacy policy and a disclaimer.

Privacy Policy: You have no privacy, google stole it already. Despite that I will not keep any personal data on my server. All messages are passed directly to Dave's team chat server without interference. If necessary some data may be logged for debugging purpose but I will not read your messages.

Disclaimer: I accept no responsibility for anything. This software is probably not fit for purpose and you read these words entirely at your own risk. Any damage or lose of data to you, your weewar rank, your brain and anything else is entirely your own fault.

Seriously though. Throw away your Firefox and get Chrome. Test it out.

There will be problems, when there are I will try to fix them as promptly as possible.
Errors and missing features can be reported here or to any of the places listed on the web page.
The web page it's self is also an on going project and improvements to that will be made as time becomes available.

As a final note, I'm already considering porting any other Greasemonkey scripts that don't work in chrome, now that I understand the problems the changes aren't that huge. If anyone has any suggestions of which ones are most useful let me know, I don't really use any except team chat.

I would love if WeeWar Stats (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/61751) was usable in Chrome. I never use any team chat so I'm not much help in troubleshooting that.

Hmmmm, might just be something on my system but I've not had any luck with any WW scripts working in Chrome, just tried that last link and no joy.

FYI, Chrome version 5.0.375.99

Nope. Must be something in my system/configuration that is different enough to affect the script. I even uninstalled the old one, restarted Chrome, installed the new one, and restarted again. Nothing. Any other extension I've ever tried has worked fine but nothing for WeeWar. Hold on... let me just try the Chat one you have here to see if it does anything for me.....

Having never used the old team chat, do I need to have teams set up to see anything? As of right now with the script installed I don't see any difference in the chat window.

great work daithi!

@nickdanger
i don't have chrome installed anymore but i tried it 9-12 months ago. that was even before flash was introduced if i remember correctly but back then profiler and resizer script worked out of the box, stats script didn't work for me either. not sure if that's valueable information at all. anyway...

FYI - these both work on http://weewar.com ,but you may have issues on http://www.weewar.com

Just delete the www. and every little thing is gonna be all right.

My host appears to be having problems and this will probably cause missed message in team chat chrome until their issue is resolved. I have new hosting and am migrating everything to that soon.

Announcing a new version 0.9.1 available at the usual place http://www.daithi.co.uk/userscripts/, just hit the install link.

You may need to uninstall 0.9.0 because of a minor name change. Spanner > Tools > Extensions > hit the uninstall option on 0.9.0

This change allows Team Chat Chrome to work on all known sub domains.
http://weewar.com/
http://www.weewar.com/
http://battleground1.weewar.com/
http://battleground2.weewar.com/
http://battleground3.weewar.com/
http://battleground4.weewar.com/
http://battleground5.weewar.com/

You will have to enter your API key once for each different sub domain.

I've also written up some notes on porting Greasemonkey scripts to Chrome over on the wiki http://weewar.wikispaces.com/Porting+Greasemonkey+Scripts+to+Chrome in case that helps anyone.
