So we have these nice scripts some kind souls wrote to enhance the weewar experience (for those who don't know, you can find an overview here).
greasemonkey is a firefox extension, so in principle firefox is required to use these scripts. however, greasmonkey scripts can be run in some other browsers as well, as explained here: http://techie-buzz.com/tips-and-tricks/greasemonkey-alternatives-for-ie-opera-and-safari.html i was interested in using greasemonkey in opera, so i followed this short how-to and it turns out that the resizer script works, graphical stats, team chat, stats and profiler don't work. the reason is that opera doesn't recognize greasemonkey api calls. one opera developer wrote a java script, which you can find here, to emulate greasemonkey functions. i installed it, but still none of the above scripts works. my question to those who know more about javascript and greasemonkey than me (nb i don't know anything) is: do you think that you can, or somebody could, extend the opera guy's script so that one can run the other scripts or a subset of them as well? or is it not feasible at all? edit: i'm actually not sure if i've installed the emulate gm functions script properly. i just put it in the folder with the greasemonkey scripts without renaming it to *.user.js . is that correct? | FYI, none of the scripts loaded into Chrome as extensions has done a darn thing for me. WeeWar is the only reason I still open up Firefox these days. | |

to use plugins in chrome you need the beta of version 4 http://www.google.com/intl/en/landing/chrome/beta/

| That's what I'm using, but the WeeWar scripts do nothing for me - do you get them to work? | |
