  • but you will ruin the game
  • because chances are that someone at sometime will be late
  • so i would just leave a game that you join
  • instead of wasting my time with a game that will get ruined when you throw off the whole dynamics of the game by booting someone who was a few minutes late but otherwise would have
  • your call then your issue is solved then ...good hunting
  • been a good game
  • tryed your way just finally kicked a guy after skipping him 4 times
  • but the game that you wanted to join filled up before you got here so i dont have to worry
  • the two of us left will adapt and continue battle
  • vporthos is a grease ball do not play rated game with him
  • I see so little interesting games open lately. When Opening some myself I only get to play blue over and over again:)
  • For pushing for no team play, Some players seam to work together unheard.r
  • little disappointed myself..playing a lot of 6 player games..either they are secretly teaming or same person with multiple accounts
  • on some games not all, keeping track of them when sure will post
  • cheating does not show you have skills just shows your dishonest and dishonorable
  • i just dropped a game before round three that seemed certainly to be multi-accounts eaming up
  • diood and jaskier look like multi accounts cheating togeher
  • they both opened their acct on april 14, one has two victories, other two losses, the multi games offered have both of them joining, highly suspect
  • highly suspect is downplaying it lol....yes just about 100% on that one lol
  • weewar has seen this all before many times, it's a sad thing, damages the game for everyone
  • on the issue of skipping / removing, I can say Frogleg is generally never late for turns and has a very good point about the impact on an innocent on-time player in multi FFAs
  • in 4/5/6 player FFAs the skipping of one consistently late player can ruin things for an always on time player just as Frogleg has pointed out
  • 0mak I do have some sympathy for your view, but over time a general consensus emerged among most regulars that you remind then wait at least a day or two before skipping
  • in some cases old hands are happy to wait days if they know an otherwise dependable player has dropped off with no notice, something must be up IRL
  • I think the rule of thumb of waiting at least 24 hours over time, preferably two days in multi-player before skipping. if you know the player is otherwise reliable, wait longer
  • e.g. when my father died in 2010 I had a bunch of games running and didn't play for nearly a week... all the regulars waited for me even though they didn't know why I was not onlin
  • but there are some players who do join games then never come back to take their turns... those players unfortunately you do need to skip
  • If you recognise that behaviour, just don't join games with them or if they join later, abandon before three turns so nobody gets disadvantaged
  • or peace out if it starts after three turns
  • those are my thoughts for what they're worth :)
  • kicking after four skips, if someone's clearly gone... I'm good with that
  • RIP Gabriel Garcia Marquez - one of the most brilliant novelists of the 20th C
  • about skipping and kicking - what's the point really? it's just a game. why ruin the fun? usually the player is busy in real life - happens to me all the time.
  • if a player is really gone, ok, those left can try to make the best of it. but skipping or booting totally changes the game dynamic - should be an extreme measure only, imo
  • alternatively, you could equally argue that it's "just a game" so who really cares if some yahoos are so worked up about it that they skip and kick...
  • am sorry do not have sympathy, logging in once a day is not so hard and if is then join 3 day games.in multi player games will not have to move but every few days
  • but should still check in once a day.Truly believe the semi inactivity will be the down fall of this site (if it has not already been so)
  • answer would be for turn skip be an automatic part of game, face it prompt moves make for a more entertaining game for all
  • again is not the skipping causes the problem is the persons tardiness that causes the skip
  • I wish that a notification were required before a skip. Like you get a day before you can notify, and then another day after that
  • I've been in games where I sent a notify when someone was a few minutes late, and then a few minutes after that someone else kicks them. Bleh.
  • 0mak, you keep saying "logging on once a day is not hard" but consider this scenario:
  • I log on in the morning, but its not my turn, so log off. A few hours later you take your turn. The next day, I log on in the evening,
  • Only to find you skipped me for being 3 hours late.
  • Its not theoretical, this can happen, does happen.
  • And this situation can be exasperated for those of us playing on the other side of the world.
  • I'm occasionally late a few hours, even though I definitely log on once a day.
  • I won't be joining any games that you have already joined. If you insist playing like that, I'd appreciate it if you'd did the same.
  • "prompt moves make for a more entertaining game for all" - this is no doubt true. but skipping and kicking pretty much ruins a game. there is no compulsion to do it. why bother?
  • real life happens, and takes priority over games. i can only conclude that kickers and skippers are either overly competitve greed-meisters, or petty digital masochists, or bored.
